Corfu | 10x10
Corfu | 10x10
One half of a giant clam shell holds a bouquet of oranges & blossoms still attached to their branches. This little 10”x10” painting started as a whimsical charcoal sketch on heavyweight cotton paper. I then added just enough paint to bring it to life, leaving the distinct sketchiness of the charcoal. I haven’t been to Corfu but would love to go someday and I’m sure I’m not alone; the show The Durrells of Corfu portrayed it as the most sleepy, magical little island! I can easily picture this clam shell washing up in the clear blue waters where the family sometimes placed their dinner table so they could enjoy a meal and cool their feet at the same time.
-10”x10” unframed. You may choose the “Framed on Linen Canvas” option, in which case I will stitch the corners of the paper to a 12”x12” linen canvas. See “Mykonos” photos for an example.
-Beautiful, cold-press Arches cotton paper with deckled edges on all sides
-This is an original piece: charcoal & watercolor sealed with Kamar acid-free varnish
