Field & Feather

Quill is inspired by all things English Countryside & Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice (a small literary & movie obsession of mine). These delicate feathers are realistic renderings of Guinea, Red Tail Hawk and Pheasant feathers in pencil & watercolor. I imagine they’re similar to the quills used so religiously by Elizabeth Bennett, Mr. Darcy & all the others to keep abreast of the happenings & gossip of their close-knit community.
