June has 2 flowers- rose & honeysuckle; one highly cultivated, one wild & tenacious. Roses have a long history of being loved. In fact, the earliest known gardening was the planting of rose bushes by nomadic peoples along their most travelled routes. The peachy-coral variety means happiness; the same meaning ascribed to honeysuckle. With the colors of sunrise and the most sweetly fragranced blossoms, it’s no surprise this mixed bouquet of peach, coral & yellow doubly represents the ‘joie de vivre’. . . . so fitting of June.

“Floriography”: the language of flowers

Thousands of years of folklore, mythology & religious tradition have contributed to the meanings we ascribe to flowers today.
