April
April
This painting of flowers is part of my Painting a Day for Pandemic project. Every day through the end of the April I'm going to paint & sell an original watercolor for $50 & at the end of the month, donate half the proceeds to a person or organization in particular need due to the current economic situation.
‘April’ | This will come as a shock to you, but not everything I touch is absolutely gold;) Admittedly, today’s painting is a bit of a cheat. It’s an original 8”x10” & I absolutely love it, but I didn’t paint it yesterday. For 18 days I created a brand new painting that I was proud to present to you but yesterday was a bit of a struggle. I worked on a painting of bright pink Peonies (freshly blooming in my yard!) and at 5:30pm realized I didn’t like the piece at all. I was too creatively drained to start another one at that point so I’m selling this beautiful floral which has been hanging in my studio for some time. I actually created it a couple of years ago for a floral painting class that I taught. It’s a delicate, happy spray of roses, dogwood blossoms, lilac & olives. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I have! Although today is the last day of April, I’m planning to do one more painting to round out this project at an even 20, so keep an eye out tomorrow at 10am for the finale!
